The Culture with Kal takes a curious, personal and sometimes unexpected look at culture on the Isle of Skye and beyond.
Kal El is a filmmaker and community practitioner based in Portnalong, Carbost. He is the producer of The Music That Holds Us / Cumaidh an Ceòl Sinn, a feature documentary about fifty years of musical culture on Skye currently in conversation with BBC ALBA. Originally from Brighton, Kal has spent five years on Skye and works as Event Hub Coordinator with SLCVO. The Culture with Kal is his first radio show.
