Skye MSP Andrew Baxter to ‘take things easy’ after hospital treatment
Skye MSP Andrew Baxter is recovering after falling unwell and being taken by ambulance to Belford Hospital in Fort William.
In a post shared on social media, Mr Baxter said he was taken to hospital on Monday, where he underwent tests and received treatment. He said the situation turned out to be “not as serious as first feared” and that he has now been told by both his family and staff to “take things easy for a little while”.

The Lib Dem MSP thanked Scottish Ambulance Service paramedics, along with doctors, nurses and other staff at Belford Hospital, for the care he received.
He said: “Their professionalism, kindness and reassurance meant a great deal to me and my family. I’m so grateful for the care I received.”
Mr Baxter added that he hopes to be “back out and about as soon as possible”, but said he intends to follow advice to take a break while he recovers.
