24 HOUR LIVE 2021

We are launching for the 2nd year ‘Radio Skye’s 24 Hour Live’ fundraiser event in aid of our Christmas Toy Appeal ‘Cram The Van‘. With 24 hours of brilliant live one-off shows throughout the day and night, we’ll are bound to keep you entertained with loads of great music, interviews, chat and craic plus we’ll be hearing from the groups we work with to make Cram the Van happen and hope to raise much needed funds to support the appeal this year.

We’ll also be doing another amazing give-away across our social media so check out our Facebook and Instagram pages from Thursday the 23rd of September. We encourage you to donate to Cram The Van if you can, any amount is accepted whether you can spare a few pound or a larger amount, every little bit goes directly to the families in our community. Cram The Van 2020 was our biggest year yet, supporting 209 children, 110 families across our listening area from the tip of Skye to Applecross so we reach a huge geographical area working closely with the Highland Council Welfare and Benefits, Social Work Department, Skye and Lochalsh Citizens Advice Bureau, Skye Midwifes, Skye and Lochalsh Young Carers, Ross and Skye Women’s Aid, Youth Action Team, as well as the local schools. We support children as soon as they are born with vouchers up to 18/19 year olds so we are always in need of money to support these age groups. The toy appeal will launch at the start of November but we like to be ahead of the game so we can be prepared to make sure every family who needs the support, gets it.
