𝗠𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗼𝗴
Achintraid resident Raymond Orr, who was airlifted to hospital following a car crash on Monday near Strathcarron, has been reunited with his beloved dog Farrah today.
Four-year-old, Farrah was in the car when it crashed but fled from the scene before Raymond regained consciousness after the accident.
Farrah was found this morning by a friend of Raymond’s and has been returned to her worried owner safe and sound.

Members of the campaign group Misneachd has said they are greatly encouraged by a new Scottish Government report on social and economic opportunities for Gaelic
The report published by an independent working group details opportunities where a positive impact can be made on the state of the language throughout Scotland.
Within the report, key Gaelic Language Communities were defined as areas where Gaelic was spoken by more than 20% of the population according to the 2011 census.
The group believes the report takes into account the specific demographic challenges that are an obstacle to key Gaelic Communities and proposes a wide range of radical policies pertaining to housing, business, and infrastructure.
The also agreed with the report’s conclusion that an increase is needed both in what the Scottish Government itself spends and in the budget of Bòrd na Gàidhlig.
The Highland Council has placed removal notices on two disused Stagecoach buses which are currently occupying a layby en route to Staffin beach
A member of the council’s environmental health team visited the site last night and has placed instructions for the vehicles to be removed from the safe stopping area in the Staffin Area.
